tami's mission...

I hoped they'd call me on a mission... I didn't even have to grow a foot or two! :)

Hi! My name is Tami. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have recently accepted a call from the Lord to serve as a missionary in the Brazil Campinas Mission. Beginning August 28, 2013, I will be serving as 'Irma Larrabee' (that's "Sister Larrabee" in Portuguese). Follow my adventure as I get to know the good people of Brazil and share with them the thing I love the most, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is true!

Hi! My name is Tami. I’m a California girl of 4’11” and I love my parents and 5 older siblings. I enjoy music, dancing, and I love my friends. Also I love working with kids and eating ice cream and going to college. My dreams for my future include being a mom and having a family, perhaps having my own speech-pathology business, and continuing to dance in at least some way for the rest of forever. I’m well on my way, but right now I’ve decided to take a break from the road to my dreams to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. ‘Why?’ you may ask? Because I love my Father in Heaven more than anything. I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ - to apply the teachings to my life, and feel of His love. I have felt guided and directed. I have come to understand through experience that He can complete me when I am broken, and with Him, nothing is impossible. Everyone needs to have the opportunity to feel of his love, peace, and plan for them. So I told the Lord I would serve anywhere he thought was best so I could share this message with his children and he sent me to Brazil.

So to my friends and family, til we meet again.
Lots of Love,

Sister Larrabee.
